69th Hunger Games - Cesil's Reaping
Cesil's dinner felt empty.
The food was filling and tasted fine. Her parents and brother were all at their usual places at the table. But there was one empty spot that has been previously filled during the day before the reapings.
Cesil had gotten so used to her cousin Maxwell visiting and tinkering with various machines and older computers with her. Some days he stuck around for so long that he would stay for dinner at Cesil's house and her parents wouldn't mind. His parents didn't mind, either; it helped get him out of the house and less cooped up from his severe asthma as Cesil's house was perfectly clean.
